Gliding is a beautiful sport for me simply because it makes me fly. There are many reasons I choose gliding at first glance: I enjoy every minute in the air and was thinking of being a pilot. I am also on my way to being an engineer, and learning how to fly helps me understand boring (relatively) math and physics intuitively. Meanwhile, OUGC is a very friendly and very social society. We help each other push the glider, run the wing, do inspections, and maintenance. Everyone gets involved in the operation of the club.
